अब्दुल मफीक की हत्या एक घटना नही बल्कि बंगाल के मौजूदा हालातों की कहानी है, हम न्याय की इस लड़ाई में उनके परिवार के साथ है, जब तक भाजपा के गुंडों की गिरफ्तारी नही होती और परिवार की मांगें पूरी नही होती, हम ये लड़ाई लड़ते रहेंगे।
भारतीय युवा कांग्रेस के प्रभारी श्री मनीष शर्मा ने मुलाकात के बाद कहा कि बंगाल में किसका राज है? कानून का या गुंडों का?, आखिर BJP किस बात से इतना डरती है? टूटे हुए स्कूलों की तस्वीरों से, सवाल पूछते युवाओं से? जब अपने बेटे द्वारा सरकारी स्कूल की सच्चाई सामने लाने के बाद BJP के गुंडों के हमले में जान गंवाने वाले अब्दुल मफीक पर हमला होने की आशंका पहले से मौजूद थी तब उसे सुरक्षा देना किसकी जिम्मेदारी थी? अगर प्रशासन को खतरे की जानकारी थी तो समय रहते सुरक्षा क्यों नहीं दी गई? हमले के बाद उचित इलाज और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित क्यों नहीं हुआ?
भारतीय युवा कांग्रेस के राष्ट्रीय प्रभारी श्री मनीष शर्मा ने यह भी कहा कि हफीज़ ने सिर्फ अपने स्कूल की बदहाल व्यवस्था, टूटी सड़कों और गांव की बुनियादी सुविधाओं को लेकर जवाबदेही मांगी थी लेकिन सवाल पूछने के बदले में हिंसा मिली। 13 तारीख की रात हुए हमले के बाद हफीज़ के पिता को समय पर इलाज न मिलना और 15 तारीख को उनकी मौत होना इस पूरे मामले की निष्पक्ष जांच और जवाबदेही की मांग को और गंभीर बनाता है।
भारतीय युवा कांग्रेस यह मांग करता है कि:
- अब्दुल माफ़ीक की हत्या की तुरंत और निष्पक्ष जांच हो।
- हमले में शामिल हर व्यक्ति की तुरंत गिरफ्तारी हो।
- हिंसा में शामिल भीड़ के सभी सदस्यों की पहचान और जांच हो।
- अब्दुल हफ़ीज़ और उनके परिवार को पूरी कानूनी सुरक्षा और सहायता मिले।
- परिवार को समय पर इलाज कराने से रोकने की किसी भी कोशिश के लिए जवाबदेही तय हो।

Abdul Mafiq’s killing is not merely an isolated incident but a reflection of the prevailing situation in Bengal; we stand with his family in this fight for justice. We will continue this struggle until the BJP goons are arrested and the family’s demands are met.
After the meeting, Indian Youth Congress In-charge Shri Manish Sharma asked: Who rules Bengal—the law or goons? What exactly is the BJP so afraid of? Is it images of dilapidated schools or youths asking questions? Whose responsibility was it to provide security to Abdul Mafiq, given the pre-existing apprehension of an attack by BJP goons after his son exposed the reality of the government school? If the administration was aware of the threat, why wasn’t security provided in time? Why were proper medical treatment and security not ensured after the attack?
Indian Youth Congress National In-charge Shri Manish Sharma further stated that Hafiz had merely sought accountability regarding the poor state of his school, broken roads, and the lack of basic village amenities, but was met with violence instead. The fact that Hafiz’s father did not receive timely medical treatment following the attack on the night of the 13th—leading to his death on the 15th—makes the demand for an impartial investigation and accountability in this entire matter even more critical.
The Indian Youth Congress demands that:
- An immediate and impartial investigation into Abdul Mafiq’s killing be conducted.
- Every individual involved in the attack be arrested immediately.
- All members of the mob involved in the violence be identified and investigated.
- Abdul Hafiz and his family receive full legal protection and assistance.
- Accountability be fixed for any attempt to prevent the family from accessing timely medical treatment.
